Applications for work and mock interviews– As well as developing skills during their education at DHS, we recognise that applying for work and interviewing are skills in their own right. In order to develop these skills, In Year 10 you will prepare their CVs and then business volunteers, come into school to provide a mock interview for each student during year 11. There is a post-16 opportunities evening, run by DHS Sixth Form. Also, other local post-16 education providers are invited to hold assemblies about their provision.
The above activities are supported by 1:1 careers interviews with the Careers leader, which all Year 11 students are able to request, ensures that all students have the right level of support and guidance. To request a careers appointment see Mrs Adams.
Typically 65%-75% of students choose to remain at Diss High for sixth form. And 30%-40% go on to take courses at other colleges and 6th Forms. 5% Take apprenticeships.
