In your weekly tutor time sessions, you will develop skills needed to be successful in the world of work. You will also learn lots about the processes of applying for Post 16 providers, including mock interviews and CV building.
You will have multiple assemblies with various pathways for after Year 11, including Apprenticeships, Sixth Form and College. You will also have an assembly each year with external speakers from different industries with the opportunity to ask questions afterwards and time to reflect on these sessions.
You will have the opportunity of one-to-one personal guidance with a Level 6 Careers Advisor, in which you will receive tailored advice relating to your interests and choices.
In Year 10, you will have the opportunity to have a week placement of Work Experience or Virtual Work Experience, so you get the opportunity to experience first-hand the world of work.
On average, 65%-75% of students choose to remain at Diss High Sixth Form. 30%-40% go on to take courses at other Colleges and other Sixth Forms and 5% start Apprenticeships.
