The School Day

School Routine 

Hours of Attendance 

Students should aim to arrive on the premises about ten minutes before the start of each session, but not before 8.30am for the first session, as no staff are on supervisory duty before this time.  Students who travel on school buses must not leave the school premises after they have been brought into school in the morning. 

Parents who bring their children to school by car are asked to drop them by the entrance in Uplands Way to avoid congestion at the main gate (please note that the Tennis and Squash Club car parks are private and should not be used by parents). 

From the official start of the school day (morning registration) until the end of the compulsory school day, in a typical week, school will be open for 34.5 hours. 

The timing of the School Day is as follows: 

All lessons are one hour long.
